This is just the cutest couple and they are having a little miracle baby! It was a pleasure to photograph them and be a part of their miracle.

I NEVER post photos of my own kids. And since I’m always shooting for work, I sometimes get lazy about photographing my own kids in every day life. Not a sporting event, or a birthday…but just their regular every day lives.

So, the BIG thing this year has been Guitar Hero. I bought it a few months ago and it was supposed to be a Christmas gift. But after I tried it, I thought it would be way to hard for them. So I just gave it to them. (Besides, I was totally hooked and I was tired of playing at night and then hiding it so they wouldn’t see it.)

Well, I was SOOO wrong! We already knew that our middle one was a total rockstar on drums. He drums anywhere, everywhere all day long. But he’s PHENOMENAL at Guitar Hero! Granted, I know it’s not a real guitar but it’s really hard and he’s totally awesome!!! And he get’s so into it! Well, you’ll see what I mean when you look at these pics. I can’t wait ’till Christmas when he opens up Rock Band II and sees the drums!!!

Oh, and while the little guy isn’t as good because he’s fingers are too small, he does pretty well himself. And he’s only 4!

What can I say…my kids are TOTAL ROCKSTARS. Yeah, Mommy likes to brag.

Oh, and yes my little ones both have faux hawks. Not my idea. They begged. What do you expect when their idols are Tom Morello from Rage Against The Machine and Travis Barker?!

This was a fun session. Just me, Tiffany, the beach and a camera. Tiffany is about to graduate from college and wanted to treat herself to some photos to commemorate this really special time in her life. I love the way the photos turned out as did Tiffany.

Sometimes I get to do really cool shoots. I had the opportunity to do some staff photos for the security team at Lincoln Financial Field. My very cool client got me a credential that allowed me out on the field during the game!! So I got some really cool shots. Granted, I don’t have the required lenses for sports photography…but I made due. Thanks JP!!

I shoot a lot of weddings. I’d like to say they are all fun. But some weddings just take the cake (no pun intended). Meet Brian and Rebecca. First of all, I should be so lucky to get a bride this drop dead gorgeous with amazing style…but then to get to capture one of the most fun receptions I’ve ever been to…that the icing. Ok, that pun was totally intended. Scroll down and you’ll see what I mean.

Ok, I never post personal stuff so let this be my first. Thanks to my closest friend Michelle, I have become OBSESSED with the Twilight saga by Stephanie Meyer. If you are a female (I don’t care what age) and you haven’t read this series…GO BUY IT! Don’t be intimidated by it’s thickness. You won’t be able to put it/them down and you’ll get through them very fast. I promise! I am 100% “dazzled” by Edward Cullen and my heart breaks for Jacob. Those of you who are fans know exactly what I’m talking about.

Anyway…just had to post about it. Now if any of the guys in my photos turn out look extra pale with sparkly honey colored eyes…you’ll know why.

Friday at midnight you’ll find me at Barnes & Nobel in Marlton at the release party of the 4th and final (sniff, sob) book. And on December 12th I will be watching the movie with a box of tissues and an inhaler.

I’ve really been slacking on updating the blog.

So over the next few days I will try to get it caught up.

This is one of my recent portrait sessions. These little girls were SO WELL BEHAVED! An absolute pleasure to work with … and very angelic as you can see!

As some of you may know, I belong to 2 organizations which provides photography free of charge for families with sick babies and babies who are stillborn. Through one of the families that I did work for I met this very special family. Their youngest of 4 boys, Ryan, was sick most of his short life. In September he was officially diagnosed with Mitochondrial Disease. His health declined quickly. I was scheduled to do a shoot for the family months ago but we had to reschedule. I finally had the opportunity to photograph him and his family last Friday, April 25th. Not a week later, little Ryan passed away on May 1, 2008 at 7:20pm.

My heart goes out to this family. My boys are around the same age as Danielle’s (Ryan’s mommy) and I can’t even begin to imagine what this is like for her, her husband and Ryan’s 3 brothers. My heart is truly broken for them.

This work is not easy. Especially because I have kids. But I know it’s important for these families to have these photos to remember their little angels. How cute is this little man?? Mom and Dad (and Tia too) drove all the way down from Hackensack to see me and I’m so glad they did!!
He has the most beautiful brown eyes I’ve ever seen and those
amazing cheeks!!! And people wonder why I like baby photography.

Photographing kids this age is tough because they
crawl away every chance they get. Or they try to eat everything in
the studio! But I didn’t mind when this little gem crawled away from the backdrop
because he kept crawling over to me and it gave me
a chance to squeeze those chubby cheeks!

Ok, so he’s not 100% Cuban…but we’ll forgive Daddy for that.

Only kept the hat on for about a minute but I managed to swing this one.
Had to do something artsy with it.
